ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Karatedo Honma Dojo is a traditional martial arts school in the heart of the East Village NYC.  We offer classes for kids, adults and senior citizens.

Our style is the result of Sensei Masahiko Honma’s years of experience and personal insight into the martial arts. Traditional Japanese Karate is a method of self-defense and self-development.  We understand that students are interested in studying Karate for many reasons including fitness, competition and self-defense.

We pursue our training with a shared will and strong spirit born from a deep passion for Karate. Students of Honma Dojo train together and encourage each other. By fostering respect for our fellow students, and ourselves we grow together as Karateka and as people.
